7 DAYS: Manifesting the Life You Want by Freda M. Chaney, D.D.
Nothing is more exciting than planning a summer of fun! But that fun can turn to anxiety if your planning isn't the best. Simplify! Ask yourself WHY you are taking your vacation, weekend getaway, road trip to see the folks. Make that the priority, and then line up the rest accordingly. A small carry along bag containing: lip balm, sunscreen, nail clippers, mini brush, small spray bottle of water, mints, Wayfarers, packable hat, and a good paperback or ebook, and you are set to go. Don't worry about wardrobe so much when a few comfy pairs of capris and several fun t-shirts make summer easy. Concentrate on having fun and being protected from the elements. Oh--hair cut/styl--get something short and fun for summer. You don't want to spend your time fussing with your hair!

HAPPY NEW YOU?
Here we are in the first 7 DAYS of 2015! It is a NEW YEAR. Will you be a NEW YOU as well? Start now by promising to work on the NEW YOU the first 7 DAYS of each month until the calendar swings around to 2016! Those first 7 DAYS will make all the difference in how your life will evolve--how your future will look. It's so simple really! JUST DO IT! www.7daysmanifestingthelifeyouwant.com HAPPY NEW YOU! ~ Freda "1) BRING THE OUTDOORS IN! It's spring, and most of us will run out to the garden center and buy annual plants. Why not create an indoor space with a small fountain and lots of house plants that will buffer the energy in your home?
2) WAKE UP YOUR PERCEPTION OF SELF! Take notes about your behavior during a typical day, then ask your social/friends' circle to be honest about what you've noticed about yourself. It is a gift to see yourself as others see you. 3) SMILE AT YOURSELF OFTEN! Sometimes an entire day can go by without seeing someone smile. Your brain will react positively to your own smile (with or without a mirror). Better yet, laugh out loud at nothing at all! 4) SWING YOUR ARMS! When you walk, swing your arms and look up at the sky. Imagine you are a bird taking flight. You'll be amazed at how much lighter your body will feel! 5) SING NONSENSICAL SONGS! Make up a silly song and sing it throughout your day. Remember The Name Game song? Sure spirit lifter! 6) WEAR RED, ORANGE OR YELLOW! Bright colors will lift your mood and create a more positive atmosphere in which to work. 7) OPEN WINDOWS! Open your windows and freshen your space with peppermint water. Add a few drop of peppermint to a spray bottle of spring water, and spritz your space!" ~ Freda M. Chaney, 7 DAYS "Some have asked me if I got smashed for the New Year. Why would I do that if I planned to spend the 1st of 7 days working on my goals for 2014? A clear head is a must! Oh, yes, I have a drink now and then, but I don't make it a habit. Who needs bad habits, yes? I don't NEED alcohol. I have found that most people want to get smashed because it is the expectation in their group, or they are trying to escape the reality of who they are and enter the non-reality of someone who acts bolder, happier, more romantic...the beat goes on. I've watched health, careers, relationships, and lives take a dive into the ditch from too much alcohol consumption. I address the practical side of limiting alcohol in my book, 7 DAYS: MANIFESTING THE LIFE YOU WANT. Alcohol is an addiction. It must be treated medically and spiritually. You cannot be DIVINE when you are drunk!" ~ Freda M. Chaney, 7 DAYS
"Will you nap through the NEW YEAR or will you map your way to a better future? Too many are resting on their laurels, sleeping in their comfort zones, napping their way through life. Life happens every day. Every day is an occasion to rise to what life offers you.
There's hope! A New Year approaches! Have a plan, man! What a great time to start looking closely at what your life stands for, what legacy you will leave behind, how you will make progress toward fulfilling your fondest hopes and dreams. Map your future on paper so that each day you can determine what progress you have or have not made. Carve out 7 days, preferably the first 7 days of the month so you always have a new start with each calendar page. See how much you can complete toward fulfilling your goals and dreams during the first seven days. When you are turning the calendar to January 2015, you will be able to see how much you accomplished, how far you've moved forward on your life map. Purchase 7 Days: Manifesting the Life You Want, and learn how to change your life every month by way of your calendar!" http://www.7daysmanifestingthelifeyouwant.com "Are you expressing yourself as an individual or a 'parrot head' who listens and watches what society is doing and copycats to fit in? Sure you want to be accepted, but what cost will you pay if you constantly imitate others and fail to express who YOU really are as a person?
Watch the trends closely when a new sitcom airs introducing a bigger than life character that catches the public eye. Observe how society copies the look when a fashion designer flaunts his wares on stick figure models. Be aware of what you are feeling as you desire to be like that risk-taking star who climbed Mount Everest. Resist the urge to act as actors do when a hot new movie hits the screens. Think before you leap to buy the products these marketers are attempting to sell you. Don't be a 'parrot head!' LIVE AUTHENTICALLY, and be the best version of YOU that you can be." ~ Freda M. Chaney, http://www.7daysmanifestingthelifeyouwant.com Photo copyright by Freda M. Chaney "As kids are making their wish lists for Santa, they don't wonder how he will fly his sleigh, worry about the number of elves it will take to make the toys they want, or make predictions about the weather being so bad that Santa may not make it through. They simply write their list and send it out there! If we can become as little children, bringing our lists together and launching forward without trying to micro manage all the details ahead of time, something divine happens, something in the universe clicks and says, 'Ho Ho Ho!' And no, this is not a story about Christmas; it's a story about the Christmas in YOU." ~ Freda M. Chaney
"We spend a large amount of time designing our homes, our work spaces, our wardrobes, our social sites, but do we spend enough time designing our lives? The design of a life may be as simple as a Zen meditation journey through the mind, as mystical as a Van Gogh painting, or as complicated as a Leggo construction site! Which design suits you, and how will you enhance it as you move along your lifeline?
Most life designs are similar to a statistics graph with ups and downs, high points and low, triple digits and some single ones to keep you on your toes! They are a beautiful design of successes and failures, rhythms that allow for rest and recuperation before one goes mountain climbing again. Allowing the swing of those ups and downs will help you identify the benefit of both. Remember how it felt as a child to be going up and down on a park swing? Design your life deliberately, but allow a natural rhythmic flow like a Zen design snaking it's way forward...." ~ Freda M. Chaney "In matters of great importance, take the time necessary to dwell on the issues. You'll regret placing high value on trivial and trendy things. They are just THAT, and they will change as quickly as a cereal brand on a supermarket shelf. Nourish the roots that bring wisdom and value, and ignore the tinkling chimes which would lead you to a hamster wheel!" ~ Freda M. Chaney (Up Close)
"Having trouble concentrating on making a better life for yourself? Stop listening to hocus pocus! The garbage that comes down the pipeline to your ears and into your mind, will keep you planted in place against all rational reasons for moving on.
My grandson came up with so many reasons for not focusing, that I nicknamed him "Hocus Pocus." When his mind would wonder away from study or activity, I would say aloud, "Focus Hocus Pocus!" It worked every time!" Freda M. Chaney, 7 DAYS |
